Summary

This was a small-scale village pageant, held to commemorate the 850th anniversary of Crich Parish Church. It was staged indoors, in the church itself. Parish-level pageants, particularly associated with the history of local churches, remained quite popular in the second half of the twentieth century (see pageants at Adel (1960) and St Wilfrid's (1965).
