Description
Crowds at the performance of the Askrigg Pageant, 1944. This was a pageant notable for its use of Yorkshire dialect (Askrigg being in Wensleydale, N. Yorks), and for telling its story in reverse chronological order (i.e. from the present, backwards in time).
