Summary

The 'Pageant of Newcraighall Mining Community' was first staged in 1989, directed by Lloyd Quinan. In 1990 it was performed again, this time under the direction of Bill McElhaney, who later played the character Jimmy Mullin in the soap opera River City. The 1990 pageant was produced by the Craigmillar Festival Society. There is a 90-minute video of the pageant on YouTube.
